One thing for sure...ice will keep the left over "stuff" in the black tank nice and fresh so that it doesn't spoil....:B

Wouldn't it be nice if we all had clear black tanks in an easy-to-view place so we could all look in there and see what's really happening?


Well....maybe not. :(

All we used for 16 years of full-timing was water and never had any problems.

Some additional black tank dumping tests were done by the same person here and here.

Summary: ice is pretty much of a myth. Very limited cleaning and you have to drive very aggressively.

Conclusion: water, water, lots of water.
