The screen will reduce the air speed a bit, take the upper fridge vent, four scews and install a 12 VDC fan blowing up, you can pick the electric current from the power supplied to the refrigerator by running a couple of wires down and install a fuse and a turn off switch.
This fan will compensate for the screen and actually help in the summer and you can also place a screen on the chimeny area.
