Yup, got the two sails from Andy. I had broken a batten, fixed it and realized my gear is about 12 years old! Was cruising the shops checking things out and decided to get the two sails I use the most; 7.0 and 8.0. Even at year end blow out prices, they sure don't give those things away.
We like to spoil ourselves so we look for full hook ups. The Sands is great as I can walk to the beach and surf or walk to the market. The campground is quite and a little rustic; no fire pits, playground or pool. But as mentioned, with Passport America, its' a deal.
I don't know for sure, but I have heard the Ocracoke ferry has had issues with sand in the harbor entrance. You might want to check it out. We drove in from the north so it wasn't an issue.
