Wiring Harness for Honda Fit

Does a tow bar generally come with a wiring harness to connect to the MH power? Or if not, any suggestions on a good place to buy one for a Honda Fit? When I google wiring harness, I get performance auto stuff or a harness to tow a trailer with the Fit instead of one to tow the Fit.

  • At the price Tow Daddy charges, I'm really happy I constructed my own wiring harness!! Saved well over $100!!!
  • I would suggest you use a TowDaddy to power your tail lights and turn signals. To the best of my knowledge, you license plate is not illuminated but I have never checked. We don't drive at night so it is a bit of a moot point for us.

We also use a BlueOx 7pin to 6pin connector. This allows us to use a charge line from the MH to the Fit to keep that little battery charged and our braking system powered.
  • Thanks! Does yours light the license plate? I noticed that question discussed in an earlier thread but didn't see a definitive answer as to how to do it.
  • The tow bar does not generally come with an electrical cord for connection between the MH and the vehicle. Because we are Fulltimers, I wanted a more substantial connection, so I bought a coiled cord such as the 7 to 6 pin connector from Blue Ox They make other pin configurations and there are many other companies which sell connecting cords as well. (NOTE: I did not buy mine from Blue Ox.)
