Wish me luck!

We leave tomorrow for the first camping trip of the season. I had knee arthroscopy 4 weeks ago. I'm getting around a little better, using one crutch for balance; my cane is too wobbly still. I went out to the camper to load our food. Did pretty well, took my time on the steps. Hoping I can manage in the state park without throwing myself down.
  • Glad you are doing better. Just remember to just keep moving fast enough to stay ahead of the first shovel full of dirt, because when it hits you, it's all over.

First scope job back in 1985. Less than two weeks later I rode my bike 20 miles. Second scope job around 2000. Took my own stitches out and never went back to doctor. After third scope job in 2003 the knee never came back. Knee replacement in November of 2011. Knee is as good as it was 20+ years ago.

Canes, crutches don't matter. Just keep movin'!
  • Take your time, slow and careful movements throughout your trip will help make the coming trips so much better. Most importantly ENJOY yourself.
  • yeah, I'm still babying it a lot. Better watch out for me zooming around Walmart on one of those electric carts!
  • Hope you have a wonderful time Chock! Please don't stand too long at the beginning, try to get it up and rest now and then.
  • Take your time, go slow, make sure of your footing, and you will do fine.
