I'll be waiting for the rocket launch tomorrow - sweating in the 84-degree heat. My kids have been sending pictures of the beautiful snow in Michigan - I DO miss it - but not enough to go back and shovel it....

If you buy a house down here they offer free lifetime snow removal!
This is an ACTUAL sign just north of Leesburg going into the Villages! Terrific that you are returning to this forum after 3 months! The last we heard from you was you preparing for the Florida hurricane. Many of us on the forum were concerned. Hope you didn't have any disastorous issues!
:B
That's pretty funny. I do remember those post now that you brought that up. That 'ol Wisconsin boy was just a tad bit nervous. - rockhillmanorExplorer III am from Wisconsin so I HAVE seen both sides of what winter can be like as are all the other so-called seasons.
Summer lasts all of about 3 months. Run to put the piers up on Memorial Day only to have it be too cold to boat or picnic for most of May. Run your boat in circles for a few months and then Labor Day the piers get pulled back out.:(
Here in Florida, yes the summer is way hot. Starts like clockwork on May 1st and runs to September 1st and then just quits.
I LOVE the winter months down here "ALL 8 MONTHS" of it! The weather is just beyond perfect for all 8 months.
3 months of nice weather in Wisconsin versus 8 months of real nice weather in Florida was a no-brainer for me. I get 5 extra months every year added to my life of comfortable living. :C - garmpExplorer IIrockhillmanor: loved your post! Gotta borrow that pic.
- VeebyesExplorer IISpent part of my day today trimming palm trees in my backyard.
- rhagfoExplorer IIIWell it has been mild here in western Ireland the last couple days, we look to be getting down to 0 degrees centigrade tonight. Christmas with GD and add and SIL is well worth it!!

Maybe you loose your sense of humor at high altitudes :H
Quite the opposite actually. One has to be somewhat "touched in the head" to enjoy the temps we've had for the last few days. Gotta have that altitude and view though! Don't get that in FL. - 2012ColemanExplorer IIMaybe you loose your sense of humor at high altitudes :H
- Mr_Mark1ExplorerNothing says Christmas with little twinkle-lights covering a cactus like we have here in the Southern California desert. 70 degrees for the highs all this week. I'll have to wear my heavy shorts.
Safe travels and Merry Christmas no matter where you are!
