Woiw pix from Grand Canyon

These have been posted by Rangers and others, a result of an inversion in the canyon.

If you are on FB, type in Grand Canyon.

  • Very cool! We were there in June 98 for our honeymoon (stayed in Vegas and took a day trip to the canyon). didn`t bring any jackets and we were dressed in shorts and t-shirts, well Vegas was unseasonably cool 70 degrees the entire week we were there that is warm for those of us from the midwest. when we got to the canyon there was a high of 52 deg.!!! I still remember not being able to completely enjoy the Canyon, but it was beautiful!

For those that were there for the event that happened, that is something that most people will probably never see!
  • Beautiful pictures!

We often see the same thing, as we look down on a canyon from the side of a mountain and it's always wonderful to behold.
  • I wonder what it was like looking up from the bottom.

That's what I was thinking. Still, a fascinating event.
  • This has been all over the news.
    Apparently it lasted three days.

I've been three times and would love to see this phenomenon.
