If living on site is required, then get a piece of paper on letter head stating that you are required to live on site to perform your duties, whether this is a paid job or a volunteer job. In most cases I have read about this allows the cost of the site to NOT be included in your taxable income.
Note: I am NOT a tax accountant. This is just what I have read in various forums.
