Workcampers needed

Just posting to register my very loud protest to the fact that the O.P of this thread has rendered it incomprehensible by having deleted every single one of his posts including the threadstarter outlining the opportunity he initially described.

The action was clearly taken as part of the diatribe that he subsequently posted against this same Park, which thread contains a link to this one. That thread has since been closed by the Moderator perhaps due to the O.P.'s increasingly outrageous accusations against the very park he himself described here so glowingly just a few weeks ago.

I'd advise interested parties to draw their own conclusions about the Park based on observations other than those expressed by this O.P either here or in his "disgruntled employee" thread, found at this link.

Looks like the Park in question got wind of the kerfuffle and has had a chance to respond...just stumbled over this thread. Check it out and draw your own conclusions!

Thanks for the link. Apparently, it was OK for the thread accusing the park management of being racist and crazy to run for several days, but when the park responds, in a very polite and reserved manner, that thread is allowed to run for only a few minutes.

Something just isn't right...not sure if it is the park, the former & disgruntled work camper, or the idea that they were not proud of what was posted...either way I am sure this one will soon get closed as well!

Not quite, thanks to Bigdoggers having quoted one there that really says it all about what this guy was tellin' folks. I'm going to paste it in here as quoted from that thread, along with the CG's response. What better way for folks to judge both for themselves than to see them side by side?

Like I said before after all this happened and we compared notes with the hosts that left three days after us and with another couple who left a few months ago, and are in another local park, we found out the truth about what goes on at that park. I know it seems crazy, and it was, so I can see how others not experiencing it can think we are nuts. As far as the other, we had about 12 permanent and semi permanent residents there at the park so we were never full.

It is not a destination park, simply a overnight stop for most visitors to get off the interstate. There are a lot of railroad workers and other laborers working in the area and a big number of them are Hispanic or have their families with them, we were not allowed to register any long term residents with children or if they were Hispanic, we had to take their information and give it to the manager, we also were instructed that no matter how many open spots we had we were to place anyone with children or Hispanics in the far corner spots next to the interstate so they would not be a problem. No way were we to allow them to register for more than one day, so you tell me what you think. We simply wanted to be trained as assistant managers for future use on our resume, not actually have any say in running the park and had we known the truth and put all the red flags together we would have been gone when our three months were over.

Like I said before your whole outlook on the people and the park can and does change in an instant when you learn the truth and some people do a very good job at hiding their true selves with lies and their actions until the truth comes out you confront them face to face as we did. Oh yes and also can you explain four host couples being forced out with a 24 hour notice within the four months we were there including us? Was that us having a problem or insane management? Sometimes it just takes a while to realize the truth.

And here's the CG's defense (now buried in a thread that was allowed to stay open for exactly 21 minutes!)

Does that make him feel superior to the millions of people across the USA who can't read and write for whatever reason. Does he think he is a better person than they are? Your level of education does not make you the person you are. This country was founded, worked & fought for by millions who could not read & write.

As to us being "insecure" in our position here at Kiva RV Park & Horse Motel, that couldn't be further from the truth. We are very secure in our position as Managers of the park and plan on being here for many years to come according to the owners. Kiva RV Park & Horse Motel operates well with our relaxed & flexible working atmosphere, we don't need or want the strict rules & regulations and the severe structured work atmosphere needed and used by larger parks, or state & federal facilities. We want a relaxed atmosphere for our work campers & residents to enjoy their stay here, to make them feel welcome and want to come back. If being relaxed and flexible in the operation of the park does this, then so be it.

So, whether or not you believe "royl", please stop in here at Kiva RV Park & Horse Motel and find out for yourself that we have always and will continue to treat our customers, no matter their race or nationality, with the respect and service they deserve.

I notice that royl admitted to falsifying the glowing initial reports as they were forced to post what they did.

If someone admits falsification then everything they post is very suspect and should not be believed whether good or bad.

Sounds like this is a case where the whole RV community would be better served if the whole thread was deleted.

I stopped reading --- just want to know 1st of all (this is my first visit to this forum)... workkamping opportunities.

My husband and I are looking for spring/summer 2014 -- I THOUGHT one was listed here... -- wondering what/where???

We are currently on the west coast.
