I did NOT tell them I would sell it to them. I told them I was thinking about it and would get back to them, but hadn't made a decision. I agree that telling them yes and then selling it out from under them would be bad.
There are no Timbrens, etc.on their car. They're rookie trailerers -this would be their first one. They didn't even have a brake controller yet.
