They just called and told me they would be borrowing a friend's pickup when they use it. Since they're both still employed, I'm assuming they get about two weeks off/year, so that sounds doable. I will deliver the trailer to their door if they decide to buy it so they're not using their car.

Sure seems to me to be a commitment to sell it to them if they want it.
I still fail to see the dilemma, or the issue
1) Trailer weighs 1500 lbs
2) Vehicle rated to tow 1500 lbs
Are you assuming they will overload the trailer, thus overload the TV? If so, you are ASSUMING they will put themselves in an unsafe condition. Is it unsafe to tow a trailer that weighs 1500 lbs with a vehicle that is rated to tow 1500 lbs? or is it your assumption?
