Getting back to the off-topic...
Never drank out of a creek, but plenty of water hoses. At football practice it was a water hose hooked to a piece of galvanized pipe with a bunch of holes drilled in it. If you didn't get there fast enough you might wind up on the wrong end and would pretty much have to suck the water out.
How about riding your bike as fast as you can and then grabbing hold of a rope swing hanging from a tree? I'd cringe if one of my sons did it, but I wouldn't stop them from trying.
I had plenty of fun with homemade fireworks and stuff and have some scars I probably shouldn't. My sons had their fun growing up too. Some they thought I didn't know about like the brake fluid and chlorine experiments, dry ice bombs, and airsoft. (I wish airsoft was around when I was young.)
We used to play "smash-up" on our bikes. On the street in front of our houses, we would build up a head of steam and intentionally hit the other people on the side of their bike and try to knock them off their bike. Many bent wheels, scraped elbows, etc. No helmets of course.
My sons do airsoft too. I'll bet there aren't many rooms in your house where there isn't at least a few of those small plastic balls somewhere on the floor, couch, etc.
