at nearly 60 years old, my knees limit me some, after 7 surgeries, but i still have a backpack and tent and air pad.
the DW won't tent camp anymore but i'll hopefully still be going backcountry where RV's can't go and do tent camping.
that's part of the reason we have a Hybrid TT, we love the feel of tent camping still.
never had any problems sleeping on the ground.
