Tent Camping : Yes
Sort Of . We camp with our boat .
For the short trips I do not take the TT and just load the boat .
The trick is owning an Outfitter Grade tent that is actually waterproof .
Eureka Timberline 6 Outfitter and Alps Mountaineering 5 Outfitter .
We carry 2 of the EZ-UP Quik-Shades and the 12 x 12 goes over the picnic table and the 10x10 sometimes goes over the front of the tent .
We have drift boated the John Day River shown on page 2 of this thread , also .
Limited road access there and we pack even lighter .
We have a circle of long time boating friends and our adult kids love to boat camp .
Our kids love to meet us at an intermediate lake / river and we have the best time .
Plus after 52 years of camping we have it figured out pretty good .
Most of our camp gear stays in labelled Rubbermaid buckets all year .
With a diesel pickup and canopy it is too easy to throw the camp gear in back and hitch up the boat .
EZ-UPs and a good tent make camping easy .
