I don't consider tenting a down grade. Only a different form of camping. We have a 33' fifth wheel that is mostly used for boondocking, but there are many places the fiver just won't go. While we like the comforts of the rv the back country still calls us. We have made concessions due to age. We no longer sleep on the ground, but on very comfortable cots. The tent is a hobitat 6. With the ceiling at around 7' it gives plenty of room to stand. The tent allows us get back to the type of camping we grew up with ie: beautiful scenery and no crowds. As long as we are able we will continue tent camp.
