A friend rode a bike across the USA, West to East. Then flew home.
Used a pup tent.
Said it was OK - except for multi-day rain storms & stuck in his tent.
Why did he that? Don't know.
Voluntary, "fun" tenting for me was something I did way, way "back when". (before non-voluntary military tenting)
Fun then - not interested now.
