Would I give it a go, Yep. In other words take it for a test tow and see how it feels. As far as weights go, weigh everything at the scales as opposed to guessing at unloaded weights etc. Using GVWR is useless as it is a rating not a weight. Generally the higher the better. The GVWR has nothing to do with what the trailer weighs but rather what it is rated to carry.
Before you buy it fill the tank or tanks with water and go fo a drive to a scale. See how it feels and see ow much it weighs. If you have all the tanks full of water it will give a better idea of what it will weigh loaded.
