Has anyone been towing a wrangler automatic trans on a tow dolly, I have been told you can tow them 4 down but not on a dolly, don't make sence

The problem on jeep is the rear hubs move the front don't when on a dolly ... Evidently they need to move together or is messes with the transfer case .. At least that's what I was told
