Writing those reviews.

I'm noticing that quite often, when I got to RVParkReviews.com, that the latest review is over a year old:(

Sure, maybe I'm looking at obscure CGs, but still, it seems as if less and less reviews are being posted.

I realize that it's a bit of a PITA to sit down and write a review after a long trip, and few of us have time (especially with kids) during the trip itself, but it would really be helpful to others along the way.
And, one of these days, it may be YOU who is looking:)

Just because you've been to a CG several times, shouldn't mean that you don't update your reviews. Have there been any changes? Would you still rate the place the same? I think it's worth the 5-10 minutes to write a new review.:)

Just tossing in my two cents....not expecting much change back:B
  • The way I see it is if a campground doesn't have recent reviews, it simply is not a popular place as many prospective RVers have chose to drive on to the next place. We do submit reviews but we usually don't for places we revisit unless there were drastic changes noted from our last stay. No review site is perfect, being able to read between the lines is important in deciphering a review's validity. Doing just that makes RvParkReviews.com an invaluable resource when seeking an adequate place to stay when traveling in unknown territory.

Same here so I registered under another name and was able to submit a review. The old user name and password would not work and they would not/could not send me information for the old account.

  • Thanks for the response:)
I guess I was just looking at a couple of smaller CGs, that hadn't had much traffic? One had only had 1 review, and it was 2 years ago.

    Maybe that says it all:S

Thanks again......and I guess my point was that we all need to keep submitting those reviews....not to say that RVParkReviews was slipping.
  • As one of the administrators of RVParkReviews I can assure you that reviews continue to come in at a rapid pace. There are currently more than 190,000 reviews online and that number has grown by several tens of thousands in the past year. At this time of year reviews are submitted at a rate of several hundred per day. If you look at the lower half of the Home page at the website you will see a listing of the most recent reviews posted; it is usually a pretty long list.
