Xbox live?

Im contemplating the rv lifestyle, and I have one major concern. How can I have my xbox online? Can you get a USB hotspot thing? I watch tv on it and am an online gamer.

  • We have our motorhome set up as a 3G hotspot and I'm contemplating switching it to a combination 3G/4G hotspot.

However, I'll bet that 4G is still mostly an "urban thing" and hence probably not accessible much when boondock camping - what is what we do quite a bit. Of course if you can get a signal at all, usually 3G is at least usable for email and WEB surfing. We can sometimes surprisingly get 3G in way out of the way camping spots. We have a rooftop antenna and a cellular band amplifier in our RV, so getting 3G when drycamping is very nice.

I'll probably hold off adding 4G until 4G service is available everywhere, like 3G pretty much is.
  • As a full timer I've never had any problems playing games (mostly Call of Duty) online. Both Verizon and AT&T 4Glte are more than adequate for playing games online. 4G is sometimes iffy, and 3G is not so good especially if the network fairly saturated.
