We have our motorhome set up as a 3G hotspot and I'm contemplating switching it to a combination 3G/4G hotspot.
However, I'll bet that 4G is still mostly an "urban thing" and hence probably not accessible much when boondock camping - what is what we do quite a bit. Of course if you can get a signal at all, usually 3G is at least usable for email and WEB surfing. We can sometimes surprisingly get 3G in way out of the way camping spots. We have a rooftop antenna and a cellular band amplifier in our RV, so getting 3G when drycamping is very nice.
I'll probably hold off adding 4G until 4G service is available everywhere, like 3G pretty much is.
