claims to have a noise level of 59dB but it doesn't say if that is at the rated load or at 1/4 load.
Ya on the box it shows its 51db a 1/4 load (400 watts)
I will only be using this for recharging my batteries during a boondocking trip ... anyone know what kind load is put on a generator when charging x2 6v batteries???
Costco return policy is amazing and this is a hell of a deal in knowing you have a warranty from Costco for a couple years.
When I hook up to my TT's power cord to recharge, initially my Honda 2000 will run a little higher on the rpms, but as time goes by it settles into idle.
Maybe I'm wrong here but your batteries are needing amps to recharge and don't theses gen's put out a constant Volts and Amps as opposed to Watts which varies with rpms? Reason I say that is we have a Traeger pellet BBQ and I can run it with the gen on idle, but when you need to run a micro, coffee maker or AC you need more watts and then the gen needs to run more rpms.
