Yamaha 2000 ie. running eratic
We r on our trip south and when I start it it runs ok for about 5 min then will almost die but then revs right back up again. Some times every 5 to 10 seconds or maybe 40 to 60. Never dies completel...

Has anyone mentioned that only Non-Ethanol gas should be used in small engines? My little Yamaha EF1000is was running very rough and finally quit. I took it into the dealer shop and they tore the carb down and cleaned it. It ran like a top. I was told to only run Non-Ethanol gas from then on. The ethanol leaves little particles in the carb.
