I received the following Private Message from Mr. Tveter earlier today:
Mr. Leblanc,
I do apologize that you were not considered for employment with the Yellowstone Campgrounds. We did receive your application on 11/22/13 along with many others. It unfortunately did not make it through our initial review of applications in December and was sent back to Human Resources as per our hiring policy. I am happy to hear you have found a position that will suit your needs this summer and wish you the best in your traveling endeavors.
Sincerely,
Steven Tveter
Campground Manager of Training and Standards
Dear Mr. Tveter,
I can certainly understand not making the "cut"! This is not my first rodeo. The courteous thing to have done was to contact me stating such. From the ad you are running now, I suspect you are having difficulty securing employees for the upcoming season.
Once before, I "didn't make the cut" in a national fellowship. That got me to college and a whole new career. I was able to bring my business career to elementary school students who might not have had access otherwise. I wrote and directed a nationally awarded Litter Education play that put the school and town into the spotlight!
I can handle rejection! I also believe that everything happens for a reason!
