Won't be going to Yellowstone after all, got a better deal at Mesa Verde NP.
Why better?
I'll be at Lake for Xanterra.
$3 more an hour, 4 day on, 3 off in a row work week. Get to use my RV instead of dorm. Closer to the San Juan's, Moab - unlblkrubiExplorer

- BeckyIOExplorer2gypsies - You must be using Internet Explorer. For some reason it decided it didn't like IO although all other internet browsers are still able to load it just fine. I've not been able to figure out why or find a solution thus far, as it seems different for everyone. For some people updating IE fixed the problem and for others it didn't. I'm not a tech person sadly.
Alice and Terry - It went well! Got a lot of overtime and saved up some money. How is your winter going? I'm actually boondocking just west of Phoenix at Saddle Mountain which I don't think is too terribly far from where you're park hosting. - cubmaster252ExplorerThank you Dtslinger. That is exactly the kind of information I had hoped someone would share. Where you stay when workamping, how much it costs, amount of free time. It all helps us understand what we might be getting into with our dream to sell the house, avoid the property taxes and explore the country.

I also worked at Old Faithful for the Yellowstone Association last year (hi Dtslinger!)
Just wanted to note that Delaware North also hires RVers, although it's true that much of their workforce are housed in dorms (usually in the same area as the RV parking - it's all one big employee village). I was good friends with a couple who worked as floor supervisors at the General Store at the Canyon Village site and they enjoyed what they did. Delaware North's starting pay is a bit less than YA's and they ask for 40 hour weeks - I interviewed with both last year - although if you have specialized skills like cooking or maintenance you could make more than $9 an hour.
Hello Becky, how was Amazon? - 2gypsies1Explorer IIIBecky...sorry to get off subject but I've tried to get onto your blog for a couple months and can't. I've read it for a couple years with no problem. Are you aware of any problems? Everything else works for us. Thanks! Enjoyed your writing.
