- endlessskyExplorerMine gets locked down in the truck bed and stays there.
You can hear it inside (just).
The bed directs the sound up.
Mine is open bed. - gboppExplorerWould a Rubber Horse Stall Mat from Tractor Supply help cut down the vibration and noise?
- dbblsExplorerOne way to know for sure, try it and see for yourself.
- samsontdogExplorerI had mine sitting on a carpet on my tailgate {EU3000}
- bfast54Exploreroh my god you wanna run a generator in the back of the truck, the earth Will END, GLOBAL WARMING will be increased ............and everyone will die because you know you can't run a generator in an enclosed space .....what were you thinking man????:E
If you have sound insulation of some type and you know you keep enough cool air to make it run and of course don't sleep in the truck you should be fine:W - memgroveExplorerOurs now has air filled rubber wheels so it's not too bad with the carpeted liner in the fiberglass cap. Without the wheel kit it did add a bit of a rumble, though it was not noticeable in the herd we were in at the NASCAR race. We usually aim it towards the parking lot across the road so we don't really notice it anymore.
- popeyemthExplorerMy champion 3500 is lots quieter in my shell but it has carpet on the ceiling and sits on a rubber mat.
The shell itself is a Leer fiberglass one.
Good Luck, Mike - 2oldmanExplorer IIYes.
