I had a leaf spring break this year returning from Sturgis...could have been a bad situation but had a friend following us and called and said he seen some smoke coming from under the 5th wheel as we were doing 65 down the hiway. We pulled over and seen the two tires on the drivers side touching causing the smoke. About a 4 hr delay while I found and changed the leaf spring on the side of the road. Saving grace was the fact I had just replaced spring bushings, shackles, bolts and u-bolts a couple weeks prior to our trip so everything was easy to take loose. Now going to replace all 4 springs with the next heavier set.
