Personally I think it’s hilarious
I spent a lot of my free time during the 70s & 80s going to see The Dead, and those were legit hippies. This couple are just slackers, but not real hippies.
(And "free time" means between semesters and when I could get the time off work, not touring around on handouts like the true Deadheads. I was just a weekend warrior.)
And I think it's hilarious too. No sympathy from me.
