We love where our S&B is (Anacortes, WA). Pleasant climate - rarely over 75F in summer, rarely below 40F for a daytime high in winter (not this week though!) Even if we decided to go full-timing, this would still be "home" even if we didn't have a home here!
Sure, it can get 1200' overcast. 1/2 mile visibility, rain and fog for several weeks at a time, but we're originally from NW UK, so we're used to that! Better that than freezing your tail off in negative Fahrenheit temps for weeks on end.
Our second grand-daughter is a student at the University of Montana. Their daytime high a few days ago was -8 degrees. I was telling my sister about it on the phone to England and she said "That doesn't sound too bad." I said "Fahrenheit" - sudden realization!
