Your definition of quite time (sp)

Example would 8 people sitting around a campfire 10:05 pm talking in normal tone.
Is that a violation?

Curious what the thoughts are,

Is the mother inside her tent reading a story to a small person in a tone the same as above. A violation,

On a serious note where do you hang your hat on the issue

Thanks. Great group
  • I think different campgrounds have different definitions. Mostly they say that no noise should be heard coming from your site so if any neighbor or person on the street can hear anything then it is too loud. Some places are not that bad.

We had cooked over the fire once and had just sat to eat at 10:01, no one was talking and security walked on our site telling us we were too loud. I guess I need to work on my chewing.
  • Haven't ever seen a hard-and-fast stated definition.

For us, it means no unnecessary noise that might annoy or disturb the campers in the nearby sites.
