No complaints about Tiger's offerings. They are arguably the best one can get unless one goes for an expedition vehicle. However, because they are priced in the stratosphere, I can't really consider one. The ironic thing is that $80,000 in US dollars gets you a true expedition vehicle in Australia... something impossible to find here in the US for under a quarter of a million.
The truck/TC combo has three advantages. One is that if I have to head into an urban area to park, I can drop the TC at a RV park. With a shortbed truck, it might even fit in parking garages. Another is that if the truck needs work, I can drop the TC, get the truck in the shop, and it will fit on the dealer's garages... no specialized tools or bays needed. Finally, if I'm going to be parking my rig at one location for a long time (the renaissance faire I volunteer at), I can drop the TC, skirt it, using the area under the bed as storage, and still have full use of the truck.
