- rockhillmanorExplorer IIHere is my dream RV garage I had built JUST for the MH.
Designed it, contracted it out to build it.
Had them measure and re measure my MH and stayed on top
of them about making the door tall enough to easily get
the MH in and out.

See how pretty it is, AND see the concrete ribbon they
put down in front of the door?...............
They failed to figure in the incline of the concrete ribbon.
My MH NEVER saw the warm confines of the inside of the new RV garage because the incline of the concrete ribbon prevented her from fitting under the door. :(
Just an FYI about building an RV garage....don't forget to figure in any type of incline on the way in. :W - PatStabExplorerI don't know how to post a picture.
Ours is 44 ft long, 18 wide and 16 foot tall, we have a 16 ft tall door. Attached is a 44 long by 30 ft wide and has 3 doors, most of it
is insulated. It was just finished in the fall we need to have it wired yet. It has dormers on it and was built by the amish Graber Post Buildings. It has concrete floors. - UltravanOwnersExplorerHey Jim,
Sounds like a good buy and a great place!

Pictures man pictures. :B
Everyone - we need pictures. :) :B :) - Jim_ShoeExplorerI bought a building from the township where I live. Two miles from home. All metal 60' x60' with 3 12' x 12' doors. A bathroom with utility sink. Industrial zoning, so no neighbors. Fully insulated inside. It was heated by 4 unvented natural gas heaters which caused it to 'rain' inside from condensation in the winter. Since it rained on their road equipment and them, they wanted to get rid of it. I got it well below market value. There was only one other bidder that bailed early.
I upgraded the electric including a 30A plug for my 'C', added 2 vented gas furnaces (no more rain), expanded the bathroom adding a water heater, hand sink and a shower stall. Even with my RV and toad parked inside there was a lot of empty space. Not good for a man with no wife to say "whoa".
So, I added a custom made bar and back bar, kitchen with sink, stove, microwave, refrigerator, and full size freezer (gotta have ice), a juke box that plays old 45's, satellite big screen TV, a pin ball machine, bowling machine, pool table and poker table. The bad news? I still have room, and I'm open to suggestions. :) - BB_TXNomadI have not yet. Have pursued initial plans and pricing for a raised center isle barn. No center posts, just clear span, open floor.
5er in the middle, truck on one side, shop on the other, storage in the rear. The center door would be 14' high x 12' wide.
I like the style and, living in the country, would fit nicely on my lot. Just have to decide when to spend the money now. - BurbManExplorer III can see that you are limited for space, but a nice shelter, wish I had some cover for mine.

Pretty tight squeeze...can you get in the door when it's parked under there? definitely want to back that in before you crack open a cold one....
That was early on with my backing in skills, it now is usually tuck on to the other side and then the door can open all the way.
Yes, backing it in is a chore, defintely before a cold one, also have found after a long trip, chilling a little before attempting: first get it in sloping driveway, curve it around to side of house, then get it aligned to house (careful roof overhang can hit the TT), then as backing down, get truck back in front of it, get the right angle to back in to cover, to hug the correct side, have to be careful not to hit first brace on shelter, once in currently all great!
Due to my property, 12 foot width was my max, GO BIGGER if you have the room.
