We had a raccoon chew through our hose in Hunting Island. Was desperate, so went to Lowe's and this was the only drinking water safe hose they had. We have been using it ever since, about 5 months. Water tastes the same and we aren't dead yet (5 months so far) so we continue to use it. We don't worry about putting it away wet; it lies coiled in our wetbay and dries quickly. For those that think, "euw, yuck!" Our wet bay has two compartments - the sewer side and the fresh side - separated by a wall. All in all, we like it, and the raccoons didn't seem to care to chew through it like the white hose we had before.
