Zero gravity chair for big AND tall over 6'3"

Hey guys

I'm looking for a zero gravity recliner that's extra wide and extra long. My current recliner is a standard size, my feet dangle way over the end and the chair sides dig into my thighs leaving bruises. All the XL chairs I've seen are only extra wide and perhaps an inch or two longer. That doesn't cut it. Any ideas/experiences?
Here's a pic of my current chair. Note the pool noodle on the lower crossmember. Helps just so much. After a while it hurts.
  • Okay. I actually found one at the campground I'm in. It's a wilcor king size. I got it for 69.00. Saw the smaller version on Amazon for 109.00 so I think I got a good deal. Weight limit 375#. Here is a picture with me fully horizontal and my feet aren't touching the cross bar 6'3" 325. There's 23" between arms. Quite comfortable.
  • Faulkner XL Reclining Chairs

    I'm 6'2" 300#

Have fallen asleep many a time out under the awning

Have 2 of these.....probably 6 yrs. old. Had to replace 'lacing' on mine after 4 yrs. Probably should replace other soon.

    Been good camping chairs.

  • Not over the bar. Very comfortable for me. It's my favorite chair.
  • Here's the anti-gravity chairs we have.

Rated up to 300 lbs and the seat is 21" wide. Don't know if it would accommodate you for height though. (The shade thing folds back, so it wouldn't hit you on the head.)

Good idea with the pool noodle. I'm going to try that.
  • I have been looking for years and once saw one with the bottom bar dropped but have not found it since, still does not cure the "hang over". In searching for I found this one Tall? chair.
I am thinking of looking for the manufacturer, (China?) or taking a conventional chair and doing a hack, cutting the bottom bar do some 90 degree elbows and welding/gluing/whatever to get it to work.

    Do your legs hang over?
  • I'm also 6'3", I think I have the same color pool noodle on mine :) You're right, it only helps so much... Hope someone posts a better alternative onto this thread.
