The FIRST thing that needs to be done is verify that you do INDEED have TRUE 50 amp service. Take a voltmeter and check the voltage between the 2 hot leads at the CG 50 amp plug. It should be 220/240 or double the line voltage. IF it does not read double, then you are NOT on 50 amp service(100 AMPS TOTAL) but on a single phase 50 amp breaker. This would be the cause of your PI dropping out. Doug
ABSOLUTELY WRONG. 50 AMP SERVICE IS DOUBLE THE LINE VOLTAGE BETWEEN THE HOT LEGS. 0 volts indicates same phase and just a single 50 amp breaker. The "Drop" I stated for the PI is IF the line voltage drops below a certain threshold (what the PI is set at), the PI will drop out and that is what the OP is experiencing. The fact he reposted and said mornings it works but evenings it does NOT, indicates LOW CG line voltage. AND, if Correct REAL 50 amp service, then line voltage should not be happening. Doug
