The turn signals bulbs are usually the only problem since they flash really quickly with a normal flasher. They have specific flashers or you can add in a resister, or they may come with resisters built-in.

If your truck has led tail and turn signals you already have the right flasher.

I changed out the rectangular BARGMAN OE units for exact same but LED on a 02 AVION, zero issues towing with 98 RAM. Amazing part people actually could see when I wanted over and would move!

I have seen a number of times that the bulbs should be replaced with red LED bulbs because they show up better.

I'm not happy with my replacement LED blubs but I also added a strip light from eTrailer to each side. The strips work well. I'll try red blubs as rrupert advises.

That's a big it depends.

If you are talking about changing taillights on a trailer and leaving the tow vehicle alone then yes they should work fine. The stock tow vehicle lights already provide enough resistance to flash. Or if they are LED the required flasher is already installed.

If you are talking about a class A B or C which has normal incandescent lights; You will have probably have to add a new flasher unit in addition to the new LED taillights.

I'm with you Cummins. The original lights on my 1986 popup were always dim and hard to see. I changed to LED lights and it was a world of difference.

On my 08 KZ, I replaced the markers with - Bargman LED Upgrade Kit

FRAUD ALERT

Dozens of online vendors claim their lamps are universal fit for 3016 - 3017. This is like saying there is a universal fit tire.

Super bright LEDs cost more but they are not thieves and their products are good quality
