Then probably a generator powered converter used 100% off grid is the most "heavily taxed" converter power supply. My 400-amp 28 volt and military 120 amp and Trace 120 amp chargers back home are all transformer based. The battery and recharging are for BiPAP use. Guatemala is even worse than Mexico for night time reliability. If I use the BORG I lose it's independence as a battery charger. The rig's inverter is the Trace and the electrical system is 24 volt. Since Zero answers arrived about high ESR caps being employed in alternative brand model converters are seen here I might as well go with a 12 dollar cap upgrade, and trust to luck and intuition
