110/220 indicated on 09 trailer???
Why is 220 indicated on the plug on our new to us trailer?

Sure,
You can either install an ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch)
OR just leave generator supplied power as a female outlet in/near your electric bay and you would plug your shore power cord into it.
