Perhaps the 120v LED via inverter route is superior because the inverter tries to maintain the 120v watts as battery voltage varies, but the 12v LED must operate over the range of RV voltages.
IMO anyway, only change the 12v lights you use often. Just get lots of replacement bulbs since they are not expansive anymore, and save the hassle of redesigning the RV :)
