No need. The existing gauge wire(s) from battery back to the DC fuse panel etc will be fine to carry the converter's DC when on converter. They carry the same loads ok when on battery.
The converter up front can go on the battery with short, fat wire or go to the inverter and share the inverter's short, fat wires to the battery. Neg via shunt if using a monitor.
