Say you wanted a 300w PSW inverter for whatever that needed PSW but wanted just one inverter whole house that can run a MW or anything less that only needs MSW. Are you forced to get that one big one as a PSW to do it all?
You already just got a portable deck mount converter for fast charging off the gen, which you can bring inside if needed. So that money doesn't count for the following crazy plan.
You go whole house on the big inverter, so your receptacles are live but MSW. You plug the portable charger/deck mount converter into a receptacle and clamp its DC to the small PSW inverter's DC. Now you can plug in your gizmo that needs PSW into the 300w PSW inverter. (You might get fan noise from the charger at times)
Cost comparison from
http://www.boatandrvaccessories.com/categories/shop-by-brand/go-power/power-inverters
300w PSW = $172
1750 MSW = $280
Total ---- $452, Or
2000w PSW = $824
BTW note the error there on the 175w ad--it is MSW.
