We do the same. There is 12VDC available at the rear trailer jack at the back of our rig and I made made up a plug for the pump and just plug it in there. You can by hose bib adapters at any decent home supply (ie Home Depot) that will allow you to connect a hose at the input and output of the pump.
We use ours as a booster pump when camping in Mexico as usually the water pressure there is less than adequate. It can take hours to fill the tank from some of the gravity feed systems there.
