And for all the butt hurt, remember I did not ever say there was anything fundamentally wrong with a higher voltage system. In fact it is more efficient in some ways.
I sometimes make the mistake that I presume that people are after the best balance between cost, performance, durability and value. Served with 2 large sides of practicality.
And I also generally presume that the most apparent cost effective way to competently achieve a particular goal or outcome is desired.
What also I fail to sometimes recognize is there are folks who are just particular about something and prefer it a certain way or “their” way for no obviously advantageous reasons. Heck, I do as well with things. Some things. We all do to some extent.
However, none of this above is “wrong”. Nor would I ever criticize anyone for their preferences generally speaking.
Just state that it’s your preference or you think it’s cool or you recognize that it may not be or isn’t the most cost effective, or something. Because if you don’t, you go from presenting an option to presenting bad information within the context of the question.
