My Trace 4024 eats 105 amperes to power a 1,200 watt microwave. That's 210 amps if you rate it at 120 volts.
A pure sine wave inverter rated for 100% of your inrush current works better.
My microwave will heat .5 liters of water 50C in one minute on 120vac shore power. Because of the pseudo sine wave the inverter takes 92 seconds and CONSUMES 135% of the energy. Modified sine wave inverters and microwave ovens throw sand, plastic buckets and shovels and spit at each other.
