We prepare many meals at home and freeze them for the trip. Using the microwave to defrost and reheat works great. But sometimes we get back from the day's excursion too late to use the generator. I have once or twice fired up the generator anyway for 5-10 minutes defrost and heat meal. I really don't like doing that. I have moved the meal for that evening down to the fridge before heading out for the day, but it's still pretty frozen when we get back. It takes forever to reheat froZen meatloaf Or chicken breast in the ovens. Stove skillet works to defrost and reheat many items, but can also be very slow compared to microwaving..
