Maybe, but I would not "bet the farm" on it. Wake up has to do with panels and how they "react" to low light conditions. I regret not placing a volt meter before the controller.
If the MPPT got the bank to float sooner than the PWM because it woke up earlier......
There are just too many variables.

Comparing 24v series/mppt to 24v parallel/pwm, the mppt would likely 'wake up' earlier, and 'stay up' later, correct? But over the course of an entire day, the total Ah haul may be quite similar, seeing as the mppt may produce fewer amps for a longer period, while the pwm may produce higher amps for a shorter period. It would be interesting to see the results.
