The dieseling thing refers to something in the cylinders being so hot that they still detonate the fuel air mixture without the spark plug needing to do it's job. It can happen on gas engines but is referred to dieseling as that is how a diesel engine works. I don't think that this is what you have though as when you pull that wire to the spark plugs the engine stops. Dieseling also usually stops on it's own after a short time.
