Negative goes to Points, Positive goes to Control Unit. Which coil terminal has the second wire on it?
Coil "could" be bad but I'm with those who think that
a. a "control" problem which isn't allowing 12VDC to the coil
b. bad condenser or damaged/mis-adjusted points
