My model info is not on the generator so I am not sure at it is a bge. It is a 4000 watt Emaerald I genset, that I am sure of. In the manual I saw online it said I should have about 4 ohms across the low voltage leads, mine are shorted and it says around 15000 ohms on high side, mine is 15 ohms.
I might go ahead and buy a coil but I have no idea what the part number is since I do not know the model number.
FYI, the negative terminal has two wires, one is going to a nearby small silver cylinder , condensor maybe, and I have not traced the other back. I am getting 12 volts at the coil,actually slightly less but basically the same voltage as at the fuel pump
