Good news! Prolly had corrosion on the points surfaces. Carburetor is prolly gummed. You may be able to remove part of the fuel line and fill it with carb cleaner. Run it till it quits or long enough to get the cleaner through, then shut down and wait overnight. Run again, repeat. Another way is make up a tank of gas heavily treated with cleaner, like SeaFoam, Berryman, etc.
I couldn't get ours to clean up so sent it to a shop with ultrasonic cleaner. It ran much better but still had a surge. Replacing the Governor Spring solved it. Best $3 I've spent.
I would have thought BGE would support itself once started, like BFA did. Check the manual, it may not. Might be depending on the coach's converter/charger to recharge the battery once the genset started.
