1989 Onan Generator ingnition coil question

Hi I have a 4000 watt onan emarald series generator, gas. I am having ignition coil problems and want to be sure someone did not change wires on the coil. Right now i have one wire going to the + and two wires going to the - Is that correct. I would provide the model number but it has worn off!

    BTW, I am not getting any spark so I think my coil is bad but I want to be sure it is connected properly when I get a new one. I tried testing hte coil by first ohming it out. Between the + and - terminals there is continuity, no resistance. Between the two outputs to the spark plugs I show only 15 ohms. I also tried measuring the voltage on the coil during start and I get 12 volts(actually only about 9) on both the + and - terminals. Does the coil sound bad to you?
